🎯Botox Cosmetics and what is the Buzz about it? What does it do?
It’s a neurotoxin that stops the muscle movement. When injected safely, it will stop the muscle movement and help reduce the appearance of lines. Typically, the most popular areas to inject are “between the brows” (glabellar region), the forehead area and around the eyes (peri orbital region)
🙌🏻 Typically Botox will last 3-4 months depending on the area, Some areas injected will only last 6-8 weeks. Everyone’s muscle anatomy is different and needs different amounts of Botox to stop the movement for the optimal time. A follow up appointment at 2 weeks might be required.

📅Social Downtime. Immediately after injections you could get swelling, bruising. This can last 5-7 days. Icing the area afterwards will help if swelling occurs.
👄 If you have a history of cold sore. Valtrex might be an option to take prior to injections to prevent a breakout.

🚫 Avoid Fish Oils, Vitamin E, Anti inflammatory medication including Aleve, Mortrin, Advil (Tylenol can be used if needed) No Aspirin.
🚫Avoid Green Tea, Ginseng, St. John’s Wart
✅Take Arnica tablets a couple of days prior to injections might be beneficial which can be purchased at Tim’s Whole Health or Kelly’s Nutrition. Please do not use if you have high blood pressure or heart problems.
